PigPal (the "App") is developed and provided by SuperApps ("we", "us", "our"). PigPal helps farmers manage piggery tasks such as breeding, feeding, vaccinations, weighing, inventory and transactions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we store it (including cloud storage), and how you can control it.
This policy applies to personal and farm-related data collected through the PigPal mobile and web applications, associated backend services (including Firebase, Firestore, Cloud Storage, cloud synchronization and our weight-estimation server), and any related support channels. It does not apply to information collected offline or by unaffiliated third parties.

Right after you first sign in, PigPal asks you one question: whether you want to help improve PigPal. Nothing is shared under this choice unless you tap Yes. If you say Yes, anonymous farm figures (such as sale price, pig breed, litter size, piglet mortality and treatment records) are shared with our servers. Your name, farm name, pig tag IDs, location, financial account details, and any personally identifiable information never leave your device as part of this feature. Contributions are grouped only by a one-way code that cannot be turned back into your account.
Saying Yes unlocks the Farm & Market Insights tab inside the app's Insights panel. This tab includes the Market Price Index (a regional average sale price computed from anonymous contributions) and, as it becomes available, regional benchmarks for breed performance, litter size, and piglet mortality. The same anonymous figures may also be used to train PigPal's AI features. If you say No, or later turn it off, the Farm & Market Insights tab is shown with a blurred overlay and the data within it is unavailable until you turn it back on.
The Business Insights tab (herd snapshot, feed balance, profit chart, break-even analysis, and health task alerts) is a separate paid feature and is not affected by this choice.
You can change your answer at any time from Settings → Privacy choices. Turning it off stops any further sharing of these figures immediately.
Weight estimator (active). When you estimate a pig's weight from a photo and then enter a weight you measured with a scale or weighing tape, PigPal keeps an anonymised copy of that photo together with the camera estimate and your measured weight. We use these pairs to train and check the weight estimator, which makes photo weights more accurate for you and for other farmers. This is part of the weight-by-camera feature and applies whether or not you chose "Help improve PigPal".
The copy contains no name, farm name, phone number, pig tag number or account ID. Location and other hidden photo details (EXIF data such as GPS position, device model and time taken) are removed on your phone before upload. The copies are readable only by PigPal's model-training systems, never by other users. If you do not want to contribute, simply do not use weight-by-camera; manual weight entry works as before. You can ask us to delete photos you contributed using the contact address below.
Other AI features. If you said Yes to "Help improve PigPal", the anonymous farm figures described above may also be used to train other predictive features (for example, feed cost forecasting or health pattern detection). Raw farm records, animal tags, financial figures, and personal identifiers are never used in identifiable form for model training. Turning the choice off in Settings → Privacy choices stops this and does not affect any core functionality.
PigPal allows you to optionally sync your farm data to our secure cloud infrastructure (powered by Google Firebase). When enabled, your records are encrypted in transit and stored in a secure cloud database under your authenticated user ID.
Cloud sync enables data backup, restoration on multiple devices, and server-based notifications (such as reminders before due tasks). You can disable sync at any time from within the app's settings. Disabling sync will stop further uploads but will not automatically delete existing cloud copies. You may request full deletion of your cloud data via email.
Important: All cloud data is stored in Firebase data centers operated by Google Cloud, which may be located in different regions depending on your country of use. Data transfers comply with applicable data protection regulations.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information only in these cases:
Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Cloud-stored data (if enabled) is retained as long as your account is active or until you request deletion. Anonymised training data (weight-by-camera photos and anonymous farm figures) is kept for as long as it is useful for improving PigPal's models, unless you ask us to delete your contributions. Support and diagnostic logs are kept only as long as needed for troubleshooting or as required by law.
You may request deletion of your cloud data, contributed training photos and associated account by contacting us at hello@superappsdomain.com. Deletion requests will be processed within 7 business days and confirmed once complete.
In the app, open the menu on the dashboard and tap Delete Account, then Request Account Deletion. This opens an email to hello@superappsdomain.com with your account ID filled in. If you cannot use the app, email us from the address or phone number linked to your account and write "Account deletion" in the subject.
We delete your account credentials and profile, farm records, breeding, vaccination, feeding and task history, marketplace listings, cloud-synced backups and any weight-by-camera photos you contributed, within 7 business days, and confirm by email. We may keep purchase and transaction records for the period the law requires for tax and accounting. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
We apply industry-standard security practices, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication (Firebase Auth), and limited data access on a need-to-know basis. However, no electronic storage is 100% secure — we advise users to avoid storing sensitive personal information (like financial credentials) in the app.
PigPal uses analytics and crash reporting (for example, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) to improve stability and performance. These tools collect anonymous or pseudonymized data. You may opt out of analytics collection through the in-app privacy settings without affecting core features.
You can control camera, location, and notification permissions at any time in your device settings. Denying a permission will only limit the related feature (for example, weighing pigs by photo, adding listing photos or tagging a location); the rest of PigPal will continue to work.
PigPal is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If such information is discovered, it will be deleted promptly upon notification.
